Environmental labelling, an impact score
The environmental footprint score, issued by Betterfly Tourism, enables tourist accommodations to measure and display the environmental impact of an overnight stay. Based on ADEME’s official standards, this evaluation provides a rating from A to E according to four key indicators:
- Carbon Impact (CO₂)
- Water consumption
- Depletion of energy resources
- Proportion of organic and eco-labelled products
Since its launch in 2009 as part of the Grenelle Environmental Initiative and further strengthened by the 2021 “Climate and Resilience” law, this environmental certification raises consumer awareness about the environmental impacts of their stays. Using our online software, Winggy, we calculate and certify this score with full transparency, drawing on the IMPACTS® LCA database and ADEME’s standards.

- Online data collection
We help you collect your establishment’s data, such as occupancy rates, services, equipment, water and energy bills, and consumables, using our online software, Winggy®. - Audit
We conduct an audit of your establishment to understand your work practices (e.g., cleaning and maintenance processes, breakfast management) and take stock of your equipment (water flow rates, list of equipment used, usage times) and consumables (e.g., welcome products, linens, food products). - Issuance of the Environmental Label and Action Plan
After modeling the data, we verify your entered data and validate your environmental label through our Winggy® software. You can then download it directly via your software account and share your score with your customers.
We can also support you in analyzing the data based on the four indicators and present a customized action plan for your establishment. - Ongoing Monitoring
We offer ongoing monitoring to assess your progress through the annual update of your environmental label.
